Why am I moving?

I’m in the middle of transitioning to a new chapter in my life. It’s exciting and terrifying at the same time. At this time I think it’s important for me to be clear about the intentions behind this change: 

1. I want some space to focus on myself - Don’t get me wrong I love my friends and family but sometimes their presence and energy is distracting. As an empath, I’m sensitive to other people’s energies and feelings. I tend to absorb them, and it’s not always conducive to my own growth. 

2. I want to deepen my spiritual practice - For some, NYC is the ultimate space to put their spiritual lessons into practice. In a city that’s constantly moving, you have to work to find stillness and clarity. On the flip side, I find it hard to hear my own voice and thoughts amidst the bright lights and loud sounds, and the constant bustle. I’m craving for a quiet space that I can call my own so I can deepen my yoga practice and mediate more. 

3. I want to reinvent myself - There’s something so liberating about being in a city where no one truly knows you, it makes you question how you want to be known. 

Currently I feel anxious about this looming change, but it’s times like this I need to come back to these reasons.I manifested this change into my life, something that started as an idea is now reality, and that’s quite beautiful.
