This is an emergency! So a couple weeks ago I mailed my cover sheets for the written work and so far I haven't gotten any replies. I got even more worried because other ppl started getting replies while I have not. So I dropped an email to kings college asking if they've received my cover sheets and they told me they haven't and that I should send an electronic copy immeadiately because of how late it is in the stage! They also told me that the can't guarantee the DoS will even consider...

(Continuation) consider reading my work because it's too late. Please tell me cam won't reject my offer because of some mix up in the mail? I'm an international student and I've already booked flights for the "possible" interview...I'm so worried right now...

Oh my god, that’s so unfortunate! Okay, lemme think -- did they tell you at any point that you should expect to receive a written confirmation of receipt from them? If they didn’t, then there’s literally no way you could’ve known whether they got it or not, and it’s really not your fault. Hopefully the DoS will still read your work and it won’t impact whether they invite you to interview, but I’d definitely get your school involved -- tell your counsellor exactly what happened and hopefully they can email Kings and clarify that it really was a genuine mix-up in the mail vs. you withholding work.

I don’t think they’ll reject you based on this because you have caught it at a point where interview invitations haven’t all been sent out, and written work really isn’t the most important part of your application. But definitely get your school involved! Good luck, we’ve got our fingers crossed for you! Let us know how it goes!

I got 6A* and 2As (Maths and Additional maths haha) at IGCSE but I took them at a different school from the one I'm currently attending. Do I still need to include those grades in my transcript? Or do I only use the grades I've received from my current school?

You have to submit all grades for all national tests you’ve taken or Cam will find you, hunt you down, and kill you. They’re really intense about this.

Hi! I'm doing my first year of IB and am thinking of doing HSPS in the future. My higher levels are English Lit, Theatre Arts and Psychology. My standard levels are Chemistry, Maths and Spanish Ab initio. Is my subject combinations ok or should I consider switching some of my SLs and HLs?

I would definitely swap Theater for something more...academic. You’ve got English Lit, which is good, but then theater is abysmal and psychology is considered a big weak. Any of your SL’s would be fine to drop theater (which must go--unless you drop Psych for a more well respected one) although I think Chem or Maths would help you get to the difficulty level Cambridge are looking for. Ideally though, you’d be doing something like History or Philosophy, another difficult, essay based arts subject, as your 3rd HL. But as long as you drop Theater and get a properly academic 3rd HL in there, you should be fine.
