Everyone thinks we came to this party as a couple because our costumes match what’s your name AU

having been dragged some 'costume' party by one of his good friends, he's not too thrilled. however, despite having such negative thoughts; he looks as if he was enjoying it. he's good at that – pretending. he's not paying much attention, and with that in mind, he practically snaps at his friend who's prodding at his side. gawking and pointing at a rather stunning female who, of course with his luck, was wearing a costume matching to his. he's sort of just hiding his face in his hands, laughter trickling from his lips. however, his friends certainly wouldn't let it go unnoticed, and they're not practically pushing him towards the female. loosing his balance, his towering frame almost topples over her, and to regain his shaky balance, his initial reaction was to wrap his arm around her shoulder. he's not really helping the whole 'couple' image right now. granted, he's not too worried about it right now.

Reed held her cheek as the skin underneath her throbbed with the pain that had come along with a slap from one of the female wolves in the pack. To say she wasn’t expecting that would be an understatement. Everything had been fine with the pack, at least that’s what she had thought, but apparently she was wrong. As the woman yelled and screamed about how Reed shouldn’t be their new alpha female, she just stood there and took it all until it ended. Once it had, she stepped closer to the woman and silenced her very quickly, “I’m not like you. I don’t have claws or super strength or glowing eyes. All I have is my bow and my will to live. I protect those important to me and nobody is more important than your Alpha. I came back for him after making many mistakes that I will pay for for the rest of my life. But let me tell you this, if you ever put a hand on me again, I will end you. Is that understood?”

Sitting around the dinner table, the new family sat in silence as they are their food. It was a little weird sitting next to Penny now that they were officially together, but he couldn’t help himself.
