The fact that this was the cover of volume 2 on a fucking billboard and on Netflix for so long is still INSANE to me. Like even just for volume 2 they could have done Mike and El, who reunited and had their speech. They could have just done El, who has an episode mostly about her. They could have done Joyce and Hopper, who get together. It could have been Lucas and Max, who had very cute and very heartbreaking scenes. But nope. We know what you're coming back for/we're conditioning you.

Literally they had the van scene and then the rest was not focused on them tbh. Like- other pairings and people got way more focus during those two episodes. And El is often the center of their advertising anyways! (Apart from that one couples shoot she wasn't in but Mike and Will were for season 3 😶). But no. Mike and Will, bitches.

(the fact that a Netflix cover is literally like "this is what this show is about if you haven't seen it" too. They were representing their show as "What is it about? Oh..Byler"
