{☾} -- Saix was used to being called to the Superior's office every now and then. Most of the time, he wanted tea or for Saix to take note of what he was saying. They were usually trivial things that the man could have done himself, but would rather boss Saix around to do it for him. 

But no matter what Xemnas wanted, Saix would be there to get it for him. He knocked on the door before opening it and walking inside. 

"Hello Sir. You called for me? Is there something I can do for you?"

In the beginning, it had been just a simple suggestion to celebrate the one-year anniversary of their marriage. It was an occasion worth celebrating, Saix had argued. After all, who would have thought that the two princes would have fallen so deeply in love so quickly? A pawn in an arranged marriage, Saix had treated Xemnas with distrust and suspicion. But now… he couldn’t imagine himself being happier in all his life. 

And so Saix had made the suggestion for the ball. But word had gotten around, and somehow the elite had gotten it in their heads that it would be a masquerade ball. 

So now, Saix was trying to find his own husband in this masked mess, evading nobles and servants alike— just trying to reach his husband. It was only when he felt strong arms wrap around his waist and a deep chuckle reverberate through his ears that Saix stilled. 

He would recognize the touch of his husband anywhere…
