Two WIPs sitting in my hdd for months now that I’ll probably never get round to finishing.

I really hope The Princess will be okay...

Elements is only days away (I’m staying spoiler free) and there’s a good chunk of me being scared about what might take place. Of all the official promo materials released so far, there has been a distinct absence of Princess Bubblegum. (Save for Hynden Walch singing the OP.) Given the title of the upcoming mini-series, it is almost certain that she will play a significant role. It’s just what kind of role, and what she may have done while Islands was taking place that worries me.

The Princess has been known to conduct morally questionable activities for the sake of keeping The Candy Kingdom safe, ostensibly to keep Ooo in relative peace too. (The Cooler) She is dedicated to keeping her citizens safe and will do anything within her power to protect them, but we also know how she feels when she fails. (Jelly Beans Have Power)

A little part of me wants to see her fall into despair and anguish as a result of her being unable to protect. It would be another amazing layer of depth to her already complex character and a real eye-opener to see what she’d do if she lost everything and had nothing left to lose. Or even if she decides to take refuge somewhere beyond our known lands of Ooo. We know one of her biggest fears is her own mortality, and it would be fantastic to see just how far she’ll go to protect herself.

There’s no doubt I’d get very emotional seeing a fallen Princess, but she’s one of the strongest characters I’ve felt a connection to in any work of fiction, and regardless of what happens, I’m sure she’ll come out even stronger.

It’s festival season in Japan right now, and so i was inspired to try putting The Princess into a yukata. Took me quite a while to produce this. Still got a lot of room for improvement in my drawing skills. >.<;

Basically a trace, and it is far from perfect, but I gotta start somewhere right? I’ll get into publishing original sketches once I’m more confident in my work, and any feedback would be much appreciated. =D P.S. This scene is literally can(n)on Bubbline isn’t it?
