Rant about Moonlight Drawn by Clouds

The hardest scene for me to watch from Moonlight Drawn by Clouds was definitely the one where Byung-yeon has his sword drawn on the Crown Prince. That scene fucking broke me seriously!

“I will lose you the moment you put your sword down.”

Lee Yeong doesn’t want to lose his best friend! He know what’s going to happen when Byung-yeon drops his sword and he can’t fathom the thought of him dying. Lee Yeong commands Byun-yeon not to withdraw his sword and all his best friend does is smile while tears stream down his face!!!!

“For not being able to obey your command, I apologize, Your Highness.”

I mean come on! They’re friendship means so much to Byung-yeon and he knows what’s going to happen and wants Crown Prince to know it wasn’t his fault. That HE chose to drop the sword because his job was done. He feels relieved that even though he is “threatening” the Prince, his friend is still trying to protect him because he doesn’t believe that Byung-yeon is bad.

Just look at how distraught the Prince looks as he sees his best friend fall! The Prince KNOWS without a shadow of a doubt that Byung-yeon would never hurt him and so I think this increases the overwhelming emotion of loss and pain that he experiences when Byung-yeon is dying in his arms.

“Don’t forget that if I could trust only one person in this world, without change, that person would still be you.” 

Thank you, writers, for making this scene much much worse! 

Those words comfort Byung-yeon and even make him smile and be happy in his “last moments”.

“For trusting me, thank you.” And Byung-yeon reaches for the Prince’s face I mean ughhh. 

“I wish that in my last moment, I could just be your friend.” Because I needed another reason to cry harder and love Byung-yeon more!

Gahh this show, this scene, this freaking bromance killed me.
