some more headcanons for bywheelclairfield because i cant get enough of them
Mike is an author who is slowly gaining popularity through his twenties for writing romance horror novels with a side of fantasy YA stuff for funzies. what’s great about this is that he has full control of his schedule so if he needs to stay at home for a whole week to recover from all the sex hes having he is free to do so! cant go out in public covered in hickeys can we :)
Will is a comic book artist with a side gig of creating painting galleries. comic books vary but his galleries are def mature for either horror stuff or real intimate stuff(smexy paintings about mike and lucas i know thats right). I imagine when he gets older he becomes an art teacher(because i looove that hc) and coaches a bunch of socially awkward gay kids. maybe mike joins him as an english teacher who knows… and the students ask lots of questions about them because these students are woke af
Lucas is a firefighter for the majority of his twenties but around twenty five he gets in this really bad fire that went on the news and theres a hot second where everyone thinks he died until he resurfaces with two new survivors. but it freaks his partners out(mike especially… that anxiety ridden freak) so he decides to switch to being a personal trainer. very hot and very cool and sometimes does training with his partners and its a really fun bonding activity all four of them love to do
Max becomes a waitress at first because she was unable to finish high school or go to college(canon can fucking fight me) but eventually she retakes her missing high school years and becomes a child psychologist to help younger children deal with abuse and trauma, though she then switches to become spokesperson for a charity against abuse and helping children escape, and THEN she(with the help of mike) writes a book about her life(excluding obvious details) which goes mega popular so she has that too. i think her being able to switch around her careers is important because she wasn’t really around during the years where kids decide what they want to do
the four of them stay at a beach house they rent out every summer, which starts as a secret from everyone else they know because they use it to fuck every day, but a few years down the line they invite Dustin and Jane sometimes or host parties. but the majority of the summer the four of them have it all to themselves
early twenties byler had moved in with lumax and that’s how this whole thing started, but they eventually move into this one floor house on the beach side in cali that has one huge master bedroom and then a bunch of extra bedrooms(both for children and to disguise the fact that all four of them sleep in the same room)
they started having foursomes a few years after byler moved in and they are couples with benefits for about eight months before deciding well fuck we all actually want to be serious about this. of course, mike is the last person to realize he has feeling for max and lucas. max realized first, then will, then lucas, then mike. once they get used to the foursomes they have them really often— like three times a week at least. they cannot stay away from each other
Max starts asking about kids in their late twenties, and then when Nancy and Jonathan have their second kids, Will starts having crazy baby fever so they start planning around the thought of kids
Four kids, two that Max had and two that they adopted. Oldest to youngest it goes Sammie(girl), Percy(short for Persephone and girl), Evan(boy), and Harriet(girl). The kids aren’t raised by just two parents but two parents are their ‘assigned parents’ that they use for the outside world
Sammie and Harriet are Max’s biological kids with Sammie very clearly being related to Mike and Harriet very clearly being related to Lucas but they just say both of them are Lucas and Max’s kids for the general public. Percy and Evan are Will and Mike’s kids with both of them being adopted when they were only a few months old. Surprisingly, Evan looks a whole lot like a mixture of Will and Mike
Evan is non verbal for a good chunk of his childhood until he’s seven about to be eight when he says his first word. It’s love and he’s saying it to Mike when he’s sitting on his dad’s lap. Mike is half asleep when it happens, so Evan pokes his cheek while saying ‘love’ over and over again until Mike realizes what’s happening and starts crying while smiles and laughs and hugs Evan tighter. Their conversation goes like this: “Love” “Yes! Love, I love you” “Love love love love” “Love love love” and they say the word to each other over and over again until Lucas finds them
Almost immediately, Sammie and Mike have a really close bond, and Sammie grows up to look like a carbon copy of Mike with dark red hair so it’s a little funny when Sammie introduces her teachers to Max and Lucas while Will and Mike are over by another table in the same room
As duos, it’s usually Sammie with Mike, Percy with Max, Evan with Will, and Harriet with Lucas. They obviously switch around but those are the usual groups
