Legs is a medicine major who thinks he's done the world enough damage with his highschool garage band era. He tries to get people to not hate the alts by being a poser but he was really bad at it. He does want to make the alts preppy again and he almost seems to view alt-ness as a disease
Ren is a drama major with a speech impediment he's trying to convince people is an accent. He doesn't like alts because some emo kid in sixth grade made fun of his voice one time jokingly. He held a grudge and now is trying to make the alts preppy to stop them from bullying others
Pearl lost her entire family to sports (they're never home) so she does sports too. She's a plant science major and spends a lot of time with Cleo. She keeps getting lost in the library for days at a time conveniently when tensions are highest. She barely knows the alt kids exist
Abolish looks alt but he swears up and down he isn't. "I'm Christian", he says. (He's dodging the question) He keeps crashing out quietly because of the alt accusations but everyone thinks he's just a chill guy. He had family that went to the college and people are theorizing that that family was alt.
Avid is catholic. That's why he hates alts, he thinks they're demonic. he preps flirted with Scott one time and it turned him bi. He realized at some point along his bi journey that he'd either embrace the bi and be alt or become something worse, a jock. Shelby trained him to be alt via magical girl transformation. He planned to just get it out of the way so he could accept his bi-ness but ended up staying as to not disappoint Shelby
Martyn is insisting he's from money and the tuition doesn't bug him and no one sees his dad cause his dad left to work abroad unexpectedly but he's really just a guy whose dad left. He got disowned and is surviving off three part time jobs that he hides desperately
Sausage is an aspiring author writing fanfiction about his friends. He really likes the alts now and openly wants to be one but he flirted with Scott a bit too much and they don't want him anymore. Owen acted like his friend briefly only to single handedly get him suspended for harassment and Sausage was very pouty about that only to go to more alt people and ask.
The militia was just a bunch of kids placed in the same dorm hall that hated alt kids very passionately. One of them is now alt and one desperately wants to be. The others keep getting suspended.
Pearl spends intense amounts of time chilling with Cleo after they get placed in the same dorm. She doesn't even care that Cleo specifically is alt because it's still Cleo. Cleo's presence is helping un-christian Pearl now that she's not Christian anymore.
Legs tried to get Owen to be preppy by saying that he shouldn't be the thing his lover Louis was shamed for being.
Owen is alt because Louis was alt and he really misses Louis and inherited like all of his stuff. Which was all alt esc stuff.
