“You don’t need me to pay you for the chair, do you?” Peter’s fingers dangles on the edge of the seat’s back. “I’ve only got three sickles. Anyway, that has to be made up, right? I’d never heard of that before this year.” He found himself just sitting in the seat instead. “It just seemed convincing at the time.”

“I could have painted a picture of it.” Beatrice swung into the common room with a flourish. It was dreamlike in a way to think she captured the previous days as she did. “She asked me to take pictures, there’s so many on here. Do you want to help me charm them? Of course I also want to use some of them just as models for paint. But here look at this...imagine it as a song. I can hear it.” She held out the small photograph smiling faces of their year, some aware of the camera and some not.

“I will be there by the second week of July, yes? Well, I hope to be.” There was an unopened letter in her bag, she feared what information her brother was springing on her. “I am sure it will be very dusty since nobody has lived there upstairs in many years, so I will make sure that everything has been cleared out. I want you two to pick your rooms in the best condition.”
“You must tell me you are happy to be here...for this time at least.” Beatrice pulled at his sleeve a little. She was willing to let go of their last conversation given they did at least reach an agreement that time. It also helped that she was giddy and pleased with the way the evening was progressing. “This may be the last time you are ever at such an event.” @jobelin
“Why do you think we’re allowed to bring pets to school? I get the owls, yeah? But both owls and cats, yeah, just seemed like we’re asking for problems, meaning.” @jobelin
“I think Alice might be in the lake. Or else, I am very tired and I am seeing things, but I do believe it happened.” A rather genuine sigh of relief settled over her. “At least you are on land.” @jobelin
“Oh dear, I think I’ve torn my robe on the bench.” Beatrice nestled herself into the seat, observing the splintered material. She wasn’t above climbing over seats as long as she didn’t step on any toes, and this was a success.“And my skirt a little bit, but it’s no bother. Are you having a good time, yes? I saw you come in late, but right now no one is ahead.”
