- I am into the mother-daughter bonding in whatever weird way that they manage, now. When Camellia was little, she’d cling to Lacha and fall asleep curled up in her mother’s arms, and that doesn’t so much happen now but I am here for Camellia making Lacha tea and Lacha trying to force Camellia to be diplomatic in the way that Lacha believes she needs to be.

- I feel like there’s some sort of Alice and Betty Cooper vibes between the two of them? (I’m sorry, I’ve binge-watched Riverdale not too long ago and I see at least a few parallels between Cam and Betty so?) - I’m not sure, something to be said for this? I am bad at this, I am sorry.

- Flashback please and thank you.

- I mean, it’s going to be terrible but someday, sometime, Lacha maybe finding out about rebellion things and that Camellia is aware of them/at least tangentially involved. 💔

- “But mom, what if we managed to attend the Met Ball? Could we swing that?” (Have the fey done that before? I feel like yes??)

- Also with @galefairbank but like, Cam’s aware of her father now, can she please have a nice picnic luncheon with both of her parents? Can she get Lacha to agree to that?

tl;dr I am bad at plots sometimes but I hope these are okay!

Family Matters

where: lacha’s apartment

She had not avoided her mother since Cotilan, not exactly. But in some ways, it seemed as though it had been the reverse - her mother had been avoiding her. Which was odd - but her mother’s wager made avoidance likely. Her mother had thrown out something that she’d never told Camellia as a wager. Lacha still refused to tell Camellia who her father was, even though it was easily possible that in only a few days it could be broadcast for both Courts to see, and everyone would find out the exact same time as Camellia.

So she pulled on her best - one of her most Unseelie (yet still human-created) outfits (dark blue lace, loop-cut around her neck, stopping right above her knees.) Heels, and a simple necklace. 

Upon leaving her apartment, she realized that perhaps her mother would not understand that she was trying to make a point with her outfit, but Camellia shrugged it off, electing to climb the stairs the two flights to the floor where her mother’s apartment was.

Why are you unable to tell me beforehand? She thought as she approached the door. Please, I just want to know so I do not fumble everything all up if we lose. She arrived at the apartment and gave a knock at the door (sharper than usual, heavier-handed than she tended to be). The fact that she’d chosen father’s day to come talk to her mother was intentional. She wondered if Lacha would understand that. 

“Mom.” She said, her voice softening even though she still felt confused and hurt. “Can I come in?”
