Tip-toeing his way around the home, Tristan had monitored Clea’s whereabouts and often steered clear of her. Not because he was avoiding what had been a confrontational session a few days ago in their therapy session but because he felt he needed to make more of an effort and this was going to be his way. A grandeur gesture that allowed Clea to know he was taking all of this seriously. Unfortunately, Tristan’s attempt to hide things evaporated at a glance from Clea and he couldn’t have that. 

The one thing that stood out to Tristan was the idea of a ‘date night’. Although their last date night had been God knows when, Tristan held recollections of some of their evenings from their college days all the way into the marriage. His time away in the Army often resulted in more alone time within the home because of his dark frame of mind that tagged along. It was process which then lead to less time being spent with Clea and.. before they knew it, they were in therapy. 

Perhaps his approach had been all wrong but the element of surprise was where he wanted to catch Clea’s attention. It was perfect that Clea would spend hours away from the home as it allowed him to scheme and plot–– and more so, hide all of his plans in plain sight. The brand new throw that laid out covering a chair, a gift hidden in the shed (because that was his hideaway where Clea rarely entered these day), the days it was his turn to complete a food shop allowed him to purchase items they hadn’t typically eaten. 

And the set up in Tristan’s eyes were perfect. He only hoped the company matched the vision he hoped for.

The woman had been following Sylvie, she could tell. Trailing her for blocks as Sylvie made her way through the streets of New York. What an odd, ugly city, she thought. How could her alternate self want to rule here? She thought as she picked up a newspaper from a stand, walking away without paying. The headline was about some sort of actor’s affair with a songstress. Gossip, she muttered internally as she read and led the woman further and further. 

Eventually, she turned into a quiet little alley and when the woman lingered at the entrance, she turned back. “Oh, I thought we were playing follow the leader.”

“i made you some soup, and i’m going to sit here until you eat it. i can wait.”

Wanda looked up when she heard Clea walking into the room. She'd been at the Sanctum a few days, having fled here from Westview. The exhaustion of the journey and the spell had put her in bed since then and she was only now starting to move around the room Stephen had put her in. She sensed Clea's threat was serious and sighed, taking the tray from her. She pointedly dipped the bread roll that came with the soup in the bowl and took a bite. "Happy?"

Winter Holiday Symbols

Snow always made Wanda think of Sokovia even though the snow in New York was a different beast. Those staying at the Sanctum awoke to the streets covered with fresh laid snow and quickly rushed to enjoy it before the beauty was ruined by traffic and snow ploughs. Wanda was watching some school children playing back and forth as they walked to school with when a snowball hit the back of her head. She whirled around and saw Clea looking guilty. "Hey!' She chuckled as she brushed it off her hair. "You're starting a snowball fight with a telekinetic who grew up with a brother? Bold." She asked as red energy became to swirl and form snowballs.

{ Winning a Battle, Losing the War }                           Clea & Kyle

Everyone had their limit, for some people this limit was filled very quickly. Perhaps a few offensive words and they would snap, for others the limit was a bottomless pit. Those were always the difficult ones, the ones that tried to find their limit but only ended up with never ending chaos. The ones that never had enough wreckage and only created more — Kyle Archer had always been this type of person. At least that was what he often told himself until today. Until every wreck he had created had somehow unified into one giant ball of chaos, he had lost count of how many punches his fists had thrown tonight. He was certain that he had reached his limit.

How many people he had hurt? When he took a step back to figure out why the answer was either Evelyn or Clea. If not either it was both. Connor, Adam and now some nameless stranger claiming things he didn’t even want to think about. The women in his life were setting him on edge but Kyle couldn’t blame them. He only had himself to blame after all, the beast that lived within only needed just a bit of rage to be released and Kyle never had any self control about his anger.

Seeing Clea standing by the ambulance he immediately knew just where she was headed, he told himself to go home. To get out before the police officers noticed someone missing but of course, his limit needed more things to help fill the empty void. He needed to confront her because it was Kyle and he hated leaving things unsaid, even if they were things that would hurt those he loved. “Were you ever planning on telling me you were married?” He hissed at Clea as he walked up to her. His suit had been torn and his face bloodied from the countless fights she had not witnessed after he left Adam barely conscious. “Was this all just some fucking game or were you trying to get money out of it? Which one is it, Clea? If that’s even your fuckin’ name.”
