it was his first event since leo left. and max wasn’t there. and bash wasn’t talking to him. he didn’t know why he had decided to come at all, and, as midnight got closer and closer, and he knew noise levels would start going up soon, he contemplated leaving. scanning the crowd one last time.

It took Aryana a long while to realize someone was calling out to her, eventually stopping and pulling out her earphones. “Sorry, I was blasting Alanis Morisette. It’s today’s vibe,” she shrugged, pausing before speaking up again. “So did you need something or?”

“You and I both know he told you,” Chandler said gravely. “And I’m so sorry to have disappointed you, but farmin’...” He had to look away from her, worried if he kept his gaze fixed on hers he’d crack a smile and completely lose it. Then he wouldn’t stop laughing. He’d slipped and fallen down in the mud right in front of Colton. “You’re a stronger person than me.”

Austin opened the door to the kennel, covered head to toe in mud, Toby came bounding in looking happy as hell as he ran past Hazel and Austin caught her eye and shook his head muttering under his breath at the husky. “Ya remember that muddy patch on the north end you were hassling me about putting some seed and hay down on so the grass would grow back and it wouldn’t become a muddy pit of despair?” Austin said sounding slightly bitter as he pulled off his muddy boots. “Well you were right, also how ya feel about huskies ya want one? I’ll give ya one real cheap.” He joked grabbing a towel.
