“You really think lighting would strike someone? God that’d be a dream. I have a whole list.” Portia grinned handing one of the coffees to Austin she’d struggled to keep safe trying to unlock her car. “Hold these, this car door likes to give me a hard time.”

“I mean if ya ask the ladies down at Splittin Hair I’m sure they got some story about someone getting struck by lightening. They got stories for everything.” Austin joked taking the coffee. “Of course.” Austin looked at the car door. “You want some help with the car door?” He offered. “I might be able to finagle it into not giving ya a hard time anymore?”

Despite being home for a year, Dot was still settling in. She got so wrapped up into random boxes of things that had been stashed away in the move — this time, it was a bunch of random things from right after the girls were born. She’d almost been so caught up in the box that she almost didn’t hear Austin. “Are you tryna become my new favorite person?” She teased, hands out to take anything that he wanted to unload as two pairs of feet ran up behind her and smiled brightly. “Your timin’ is just fine, the girls were watching Frozen II and I was sortin’ through some old boxes.”

“I mean it might be the end goal here but what would I be doing giving away all my secrets like that, huh?” Austin teased her as he handed the coffee over. He was grateful to have his friend home and the fact that she had two adorable little mini hers was an added bonus because Austin felt like he had some more kiddos to spoil outside of Hannah and Tanners munchkins. “Hey! There are my favorite girls!” Austin said as he got down on their level as he heard them running up, a stuffed puppy in both hand. “Anything I can help with?” He asked looking up at Dot.

“Alright, I got the beers, the snacks you asked for, the meat to grill up later, and more beers.” Chase said as he sat the bags down on @austin-lockhart​ ‘s counter. He’d of course carried them all in refusing to make one trip, so they made a loud thud as he dropped them, the beers clanking in the box. “Did I forget anything? Or are we all ready for our ‘bro night’?” He asked, probably much to his cousin’s dismay that he continuously referred to there hanging out as that. In all fairness it had been quite a bit since they’d really sat down and did this. 

Austin just sat their watching his cousin carry far more than he probably should be trying his very best to keep a straight face. “Nice work!” He finally said letting a laugh escape him. “Little worried we won’t have enough beers,” He joked knowing full well they would have plenty. “I think we’re ready, I mean as ready as we can be for this nonsense.” He said getting up to grab a beer. “Why does it feel like its been forever since we’ve done this?” Austin said handing one over to his cousin and cracking one open for himself.

Pulling up a stool at the bar top, Morgan glanced to her right, and smiled as she realized it was @austin-lockhart​ next to her. “Hey, glad I’m running into you.” She said giving his arm a light tap waiting to get his attention. “I’ve been meaning to ask you somethin’.”

Austin looked over to see Morgan and a smile pulled at his lips. “Glad to run into me? No one has ever said that to me,” He joked holding his hands over his heart. “Ask me something? Oh no, am I going to regret this?”
