“Just...don’t, OK? It’s not a big deal. Really.”

“Well…I’d say that it started going downhill when he told me freckles are kisses from angels, and my response was ‘Then I guess I’m the whore of heaven.’ It was hilarious in my head, but he wasn’t laughing. Some people just have no sense of humour,” Ophelia said, crooking up the corner of her mouth into a smirk.

Alaina’s face felt sore after smiling for hours on end. Being at one of her charity events could be tiresome just because she was expected to smile at every single person who spared her a glance. Ever since she was younger, being elegant and graceful was her key to success as a Princess and her smile was the key to it. She decided to go to the bathroom to take a little reprieve. She walked over in her high heels and heard her body guard shadow her from behind. She hated how he followed her everywhere, but it was for safety precautions-- she was just lucky he doesn’t follow her into the bathroom. She walked into the bathroom and looked at the mirror to fix her make up, but there was a woman standing beside her. Great, she thought to herself in frustration before mustering up a small smile in her direction. “Hello.” she said politely, as she made sure to never let her annoyance show.

Alaina was on her trip to America and she loved it here. She tried to spend as much of her free time as possible travelling all over America, but her hectic schedule didn’t allow much free room for her to travel and explore. Sure, she travelled a lot, but that was all for her tours. People would assume that her life must be like Cinderella’s because she was a princess, but that wasn’t the case. A real life modern day princess had a lot to do, but she loved it. Since she was here on her trip, she decided to take up the opportunity to visit children in the hospital. She loved children, but it probably wasn’t in the cards any time soon. Alaina took advantage of her free night and headed over to a small and quaint bar, but her body guard was sure looming around somewhere. She sat down at an unoccupied stool and scanned the bar before her eyes landed on a man. She gave him a small shy smile before looking back down at the bar’s counter top, unsure if she should be making the first move. Even though she’s a princess, she was still a woman who had her own insecurities.
