Imogen always liked having new patients, and for some reason it was even better when they were further along, it meant she didn’t have to wait so long. Imogen still wasn’t quite used to carrying people through their pregnancy. In England she was the last line of defence, she worked with the high risk pregnancies or when things went wrong. But here she had patients and she was able to see them through the entire process, unfortunately that process was 9 months long, which felt very long. However her new patient had just moved to the area and was already 6 months pregnant.
Imogen walked into the room where Clementine had already been taken by a nurse. “Good morning,” she smiled as she entered the room, chart in hand. “Hello Clementine, I’m Doctor Stevenson,” she introduced. “Before we start the ultrasound I’d just like to go over a few things just to make sure we have everything in your chart that we need,” she explained, “is that alright?”
