// @amaramonette // will’s not NERVOUS, per say, as he settles down at a table at deja brew, a cup of americano between his palms and small, beat-up duffel bag at his feet. there was once a cornell logo in that ruby red on it --- it’s over half gone now, cracked where it’s still clinging on. he isn’t viewing this as quite a date, even if that’s what its technically is by definition --- but maybe he’s just doing that because if he thinks too hard about it he’ll definitely psych himself out. it’s been a while since he’s done anything like this ( TOO long, as he’s constantly reminded ). hopefully this quiets some of the questions in that department, though that’s definitely not completely why he’d agreed to go out with amara ; he liked her well enough from their few interactions at the cafe, and well, the more reasons to get out of his apartment now, the better.
he takes another sip of his coffee, one eye on the door, the other on the television in the corner that’s playing the news on mute. because of this will nearly misses amara’s entrance, gaze snapping over to her and he offers her a smile. “ amara ---- hey. ”
