He had a look on his face...

...by the look on his face it was clear he had something to say. He looked over at his brother, Mac, but said nothing, before looking away but the agitation was very clear. It wasn’t that there was something he was avoiding saying to Mac, he was just too angry for the words to come out just yet. His hands fiddled with a Zippo alternating between flicking it open and closed and tapping it on the wooden table top. His pack of cigarettes were sitting in front of him on the bar but he hadn’t even taken one out to smoke it. Once he looked away from Mac he stared straight ahead, bouncing his knee up and down.  After a long period of silence he said, “She’s avoiding me,” he didn’t look at Mac when he spoke them, “After everything I’ve done for her...she’s avoiding me,” He chuckled softly before breaking out into outright laughter. Three out of the four brothers were utterly insane but Murphy was a bit more unpredictable emotionally. He used to go to Daryl for advice on these things but....Murphy wasn’t stable enough to take his advice. He’d tried. Murphy had good days and bad days and today...certainly wasn’t a good day. The train of stability has left the station and Murphy was just walking the tracks of insanity descending the slope of madness.  He’d waited for her to stop avoiding him. It was the waiting that was driving him crazy. It started with little things, small bits of irrational decisions and thoughts that soon got bigger and bigger. It seemed like she’d been gone for months. It wasn’t really that long but Murphy easily lost track of time when he got like this. It could have been a few days or two months he forgot to check. It had been more than three days...that was all he knew...he’d been awake for three days. He only knew that because he watched the sun go up and down three times, “The ungrateful bitch...” he bit off. He had cuts and bruises up and down his arms...he had no idea how he did most of them, he couldn’t feel them, it was another side effect of his declining mental state, he showed little regard for his physical well being.

@spilledblood​ (cont.) He allowed Rick to pull him inside... 

...but he didn’t move much further inside lest he track blood through his home. He shook his head just a little, “I didn’t mean to, I jest wanted to talk to ‘er, she looked so much like Beth, but the next thing I knew...” He didn’t look directly at Rick, but for a moment he kind of zoned out, “I wanted to know if she looked as pretty covered in blood...Beth is prettier...” he said as if Rick was also wondering. 

He shook his head back and forth to try and root himself to the present, “I didn’t mean to kill her, she just...she wouldn’t stop screamin’...and then she called me crazy and I just...snapped...the next thing I knew, her blood was everywhere, she was very dead...”

He moved closer to her...

...a blood stained hand wiping away a tear from her face, “Now now, none of that, Lass,” he frowned a little she looked like she was gonna get sick. He moved and grabbed a trashcan and thrust it in front of her, “If yer gonna puke, do it in the bin, don’t make a mess.”  Aside from the dead body hung precariously by piano wires that soaked the entire front room in blood, the house was extremely neat. Neater than before. Everything had been rearranged, evenly spaced seemingly around the body like a center piece. He didn’t think the blood marred the perfect symmetry of the place but vomit...that was disgusting. 

“Of course I had to...he wanted to take ya from me, I couldn’t have that...” he said in a perfectly reasonable tone, “What else would I do?”

This was the only group of them that hid in the desert.

Patrick was with them this time, because now they had a prisoner. Generally he stayed in the cities surrounding the shit hole of a town putting people in place. You had to hit them where it hurt, their money and their family, a person didn’t simply kidnap a Mobster’s child and get away with it. That was his he made that. 

Murphy, the Irish twin was hog tied being dragged by one of their horses. They weren’t going fast, only a walking pace, but he’s long since stopped cursing. they’d have been a little more polite but he killed three of their own before he went down. 

It took a few hours but finally they made their way to a modest camp with several armed men. 

“Oy, Mad Dog, we got somethin’ fer our guest,” one of the men said as Murphy was unceremoniously dumped into the middle of a circular rock wall they made by stacking up rocks, it looked like they’d been making it for several days. Clearly this was planned. Murphy heard the rattling before he saw them drop the Rattle snake in the make shift pit with him. He froze, his heart in his throat. The snake tried to strike at the person who’d tossed it in there, but it settled down, eyeing Murphy warily. 

“Go get a few more, in case he gets lonely,” Patrick smirked. 

“I’m gonna like watchin’ ya die,” Murphy said lowly. 

By the time they finished Murphy was in a literal snake pit and he’d fell silent as to not disturb them. A piece of plywood was placed over top surrounding him in darkness. It was crueler than they knew. His mind kept dragging him back to the Asylum, but he had to stay focused on the now because if he forgot and started screaming he’d be bitten by the snakes.

☘ ✟ ☘ ✟ He shook his head and clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. “Nothin’ to worry ‘bout, we already know how to get it out of our clothes,” he said circling behind her with a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. One of his hands slipped under her hair to the back of her neck drawing light circles at the nape of her neck before he turned his hand and ran it through the underside of her hair, he few red streaks were left in her blonde strands...apparently he didn’t get ALL the blood. For a moment he was silent admiring the contrast of red in her bright hair, before he looked up slowly at his brother and a slow smile spread on his face.  “Aye, brother I think we do,” he purred, still toying with her hair but the position he had his hand in would make it VERY easy to grab her by the hair if he needed to.

“No that’s fuckin’ bullshit! Let me go!” Murphy struggled against the hands that held him back. They kept his hands just out of reach of the other man. The angry Irishman was more than ready for a fight. The other man had at first fear in his eyes but relaxed and hid the fear back under a certain smugness that came from knowing that Murphy couldn’t get to him.
