"So your ego is what drives your actions." Not that it surprised him. If anything it reminded him of someone he knew, someone who's ego drove him to do things that maybe he wouldn't have any other time. But this one wasn't like his friend and he didn't think that was what he'd meant. Or at least he'd hoped that he didn't mean that. Far too many times allowing one's ego to lead the way ended up in disaster. And sadly Steve had seen far too many disasters as of late. The last thing he wanted was for another to colour his world. Maybe he should ask for clarification, maybe it was time for him to get to the real meaning of his words before more trouble cropped up. "I don't think that's such a good thing. There's no telling what sort of trouble you'll end up finding."
