Everything was a blur to him, his mind too overshadowed by the chaos that rang in his head to think straight. It was not the time for rationalizing, no. Hale could only think of one thing, and one thing only. Peyton. The singular light that he’s come to covet in his life, in danger of being snuffed out by Robin and her wicked games. He wished he was surprised but he wasn’t, yet he found himself making his way to Peyton’s apartment after his conversation with Nathan; frenzied with his one goal. Get her out. His fist pounded against her apartment door, not caring about what time it was. “Peyton, open the door, it’s me,” Hale’s voice called out urgently, wasting no time in pushing through once she opened a gap large enough for him to fit through, “you need to pack a bag– I’ve gotta get you out of this place.”
