Daniel waited at their tree for Regina to arrive. It was later than they would usually meet up, but Cora had left earlier that day and showed no sign of returning any time soon so they had the time. He grinned when she appeared and pulled the book he held behind his back out to show her. "I finished the book you lent me," he moved to hold the book above their heads, "In order to get it back you must pay the fee." They went through this little charade every time he returned a book he borrowed from her and the fee always ended up being at least one, if not more, kiss.

Daniel didn’t stop at the protests from Zelena. He took his jacket off with a smile and draped it around her shoulders. “What kind of man would I be if I let the woman I love freeze?” He wrapped his arm around her waist as they walked together. “Besides, you’re the only warmth I need.”

A bright smile spread across Daniel’s face the moment he heard Zelena’s voice. He stood up and turned from the saddle he had been working on to face her. “You are brightening my day.” He walked over to her and took her hands in his while he leaned in to give her a quick kiss.

Daniel groaned into his pillow as he woke. He was grateful for being facedown in the bed for he was sure any light in the room would make his hangover worse. He couldn’t remember ever drinking as much as he had the night before and for that matter he couldn’t remember much of the previous evening. He slowly tried to roll onto his back but was stopped midway when he bumped into another person. “Wha-?” He moved over in the bed and sat up before looking down to see who he had brought home the night before. It surprised him to see a mess of red curls spilled across the pillow. Then he remembered he had run into Zelena at the bar the evening before.

He reached out to take the sheet and pull it up to cover her and that was when he noticed the wedding band on his finger. Daniel frowned as he tried to remember how he would have gotten the wedding band. He realized he would need to wake her up to find out. He placed his hand on her shoulder and shook gently. “Zelena... Zelena wake up.”

“Perhaps a week only because by then I’ll learn just how truly extraordinary you are.” Daniel kissed down her neck and to her breasts. He wanted to kiss every inch of her again, but knew they didn’t have time. He kissed back up to her lips and held her close as he reached for the soap so he could start to lather her up.

Daniel nodded and knelt beside her. He placed her hands on his shoulders so she could stay steady and then unbuttoned her pants. He slipped her pants and underthings off as they were both ruined and tossed them to the side to be dealt with later. He positioned the yoga pants so that he could help her into them. “We’ll just get these on you and we’ll be ready as soon as your sister gets here,” he smiled up at her as he spoke. He was so excited he could barely contain it. Very soon he was going to be a papa to a brand new little baby and he was going to get to help Zelena through every thing. He placed a kiss to the top of her thigh as he helped her into her pants.
