Nicholas was born to Barty Crouch jr and a French witch Laci Dubois. Raised by his Grandfather and Father. Having been told from a young age to never talk about his father with anyone outside of the three of them. He never understood why, until he was old enough to know that his father was a follower of the Dark Lord and believed to be dead.
He grew up idolising his father and loved listening to his stories about the Dark Lord and his plans, becoming a loyal follower even though he was no longer around but believed he would rise again.
He went through his life at Hogwarts with nothing exciting happening until his forth year, where his father became his DADA teacher disguised as Moody and his Grandfather died. He of course helped out his father where he could with the plan to bring the Dark Lord back but acted like he didn't know anything when his father was caught.
He was angry when his father was killed but promised The Dark Lord his eternal service and got his Dark Mark.
Nicholas moved in with his Grandparents on his mothers side and continued his study through Hogwarts, do missions for the Dark Lord. In his 6th year he was annoyed that Draco was given the task of killing Dumbledore, knowing the boy wasn't strong enough to do so, but he was tasked with keeping an eye on him and reporting back.
When The Dark lord took over the school, things began to look up until Harry Potter turned up and ruined everything.
