Walk It, Talk It Out || Remus & Lily
Lately, Lily found herself a bit reluctant to do her rounds, each week the pressure of school making her wish other duties took up less time. It was for this reason she put in a little gift for herself whenever it was her turn to make rounds, and tonight it would come to fruition. When it was Remus by her side for the evening, her required watch no longer felt obligatory, but instead like the much needed time with a friend it often was. Putting her books to rest for the night, leaving them in her favorite corner of the library where they had begun to pile up, Lily was early to meeting her partner for the night, but it seemed he was very much on the same page.
“Merlin, you don’t know how much I needed a good walk right now.” Lily sighed loudly in her words as she approached her friend, ready to take up her position at his side. “Or just talking to another person to be honest, haven’t heard the sound of even my own voice in a few hours, let alone my own.” Slipping her arm into the crook of his, Lily smiled at Remus softly. “How has your day been, equally drab? I hope not.”
