are you still in contact with animated james? was he nice eto work with?
I was gonna say I forgot about this ask, but nah I just ignored it at the time :P
It's understandable that when someone vanishes, you look out for any clues of what they were like or where they might have gone. My privilege was that I got to experience mild popularity as Kevin on C-Students, but my curse is dealing with the flood of people messaging me years after the fact chasing a guy (who understandably just wants to be left alone) but want nothing to do with my own art or activities.
James was fine enough to know, I remember him being pretty reclusive even when we did talk, kinda always at arms length. That being said, he did several animations for my youtube review show at the time, one full minute intro, and a shorter 20 second or so one, so we collaborated a fair bit and I tried not to ask too much of him.
I hope he's ok, I think he's made a few statements in recent years regarding where he's at. I can't avoid folks who are interested in the topic, but I would hope they understand that it's disheartening as a creative to always be called back to someone elses work and the controversy around it.
