She can’t help but tease her slightly as she puts the red rose into her fiery red hair; though the slight bow of Misato’s head into the movement displayed her true feelings more closely.
She’d always been so fond of roses - both for the limitless amount of times she’d seen their symbolism in literature and how much of her memory tied it back to Béatrice, thinking of the white one she wore in her hair.
Her hands brush against the petals, cradling it in her hand for a moment.
“Thank you. It’s a precious gift.”
She’d try and press it into a book later - maybe sew it onto something else to preserve it. She’d have to think of something later. ( A handkerchief with the petals in the corners might be nice, perhaps...)
