They were near the waterfalls again -- it was a good spot for them. Wick liked it anyway and it was a good in between the mountain and ARKADIA. God he hated the place. It was a little more tolerable of course --- now that he’d found Clare and had something to work on. Of course he also could take the time now that there was almost ( NO ) focus on technical advancements just a general mindset of being ready for war at all times which sure Wick believed in and certainly Pike was handling things better than Kane but Kane had been too passive and Pike was far too trigger happy. No matter the angle one looked at it, Arkadia was still screwed. Which is why he liked these outings, sitting on the edge of the cliff he just kind of relayed the information to Avery that he could gather occasionally --- plus it was a god excuse to hang out with one of the few people who didn’t drive him up a wall. “ ... and that’s that. ” he concluded as he ended up catching her up on the events of the past few days. “ Okay so enough about depressing potential end of the world crap, tell me a bit about you -- have you been holdin’ up alright sweetheart ? ”
