WHEN: 3rd of November ,1979 WHERE: Great Hall, Hogwarts WHO: @youresovanity
The past weekend had been as good as they possibly came, for Camille, and life seemed to be taking quite a good turn for her. Had been, since she’d gotten to Hogwarts. This perfect record only had one small stain. One she’d been trying to overlook as much as possible, but that resurfaced whenever her mind trailed off, a bit — Her memory had been altered, and replaced by something that now felt so ugly and artificial that it sickened her whenever she dwelled on it for just a little bit longer than usual. And then, there was the stain with that particular stench, this last detail which she hadn’t had the courage to bring up with anyone.
That night, seeing Emma Vanity in the Great Hall, Camille felt a primal urge to speak to her about it. Emma was head girl, and she was, of course, a smart witch. She might know what she should do if she wanted to find the person responsible for this, and maybe piece it together a bit further than the mess she currently had. Plus, the eerie presence of her in the implanted memory gave her an altogether more urgent feeling that this had to be done.
With all of that messily bubbling in her mind, Camille walked up to the witch as confidently as she could, determined to speak of the matter. “Emma — Erm, hi. Can we talk?” She hoped her eyes were enough to tell her she meant privately.
