An article published in the journal “Science” describes the discovery of a system similar to the various CRISPR, already used to modify the DNA, which instead can act on RNA. A team led by biologist Zhang Feng of the Broad Institute discovered this new technique that could allow to apply temporary genetic changes that may be subsequently adjusted as required.
Un articolo pubblicato sulla rivista “Science” descrive la scoperta di un sistema analogo ai vari CRISPR, che sono già usati per modificare il DNA, che invece può agire sull’RNA. Un team guidato dal biologo Feng Zhang del Broad Institute ha scoperta questa nuova tecnica che potrebbe permettere di effettuare modifiche genetiche temporanee che possono essere successivamente aggiustate a seconda delle necessità.
