If you’re watching Nein Again, this is a good week to check out my AU fanfic The Fool and The Soldier. TF&TS explores the premise that Matt had intended for Lucien to pursue Molly as a spirit if Molly had not died.

This week, Nein Again got to episode 32, which covers the party's travels from Zadash to a view of the ocean in the Menagerie Coast. Chapters 4 and 5 of TF&TS cover the same span of time, with some added complications: Lucien is in play, and Molly realizes Gustav wasn't as innocent in Kylre's schemes as expected.

And here's a fun snippet highlighting a deviation from canon:

“Molly, we got you a present!” Jester called cheerfully as she skipped back to the camp. Molly sat up and leaned out of the cart, immediately biting back a frown when he spotted a brilliant red weasel and a dog in her arms. “Oh gods, please tell me you did not buy me either of those.” “Those are Jester’s,” Beau answered, an owl on her arm. Molly sighed in relief. Maybe they grabbed one of those peacock feathe— “We got you this!” Jester added as she stepped to the side to show off the peacock, which had been following a trail of grains as she dropped them. Molly stared at the bird incredulously. It looked back at him, then bobbed its head and let out a cry: AAAAAAAAAA! Then Molly glanced at Jester, then Beau, then the bird, then each of the Nein before stopping on Fjord. The half-orc’s visage did not change at first, but after a moment, a small laugh eked out, which he poorly tried to disguise with a cough. Oh, that’s the game then? Well, he could do with gifts as he pleased, couldn’t he? Molly grinned as he put both hands to his chest. “Ladies, I am so touched. That’s the most expensive dinner anyone has ever bought me.” “You’r— what?” Jester started. “You’ve never had roast peacock before? It’s delicious!” Molly beamed. “I need to check what spices Caduceus has for it.” “It’s a pet!” Jester exclaimed in horror. Molly shrugged. “Pets are just emergency food reserves with names.” “MOLLY!”

Nein Again music for Episode 32: Beyond the Boundaries under the cut! The music volume was much better this week. :)

During the announcements, after Sam's ad read, Family Matters from Witcher III plays in the background around 4:00.

When we get back from the opening credits, Twin Elms from Pillars of Eternity was already playing. This was the old art reel music for C1.

Toward the end of Matt's recap, as he's describing the dodecahedron, The Tree When We Sat Once begins at 14:35.

At 20:50, Yes, I Do... plays while Matt describes what Caduceus sees in the dodecahedron.

A Nearly Peaceful Place from Witcher 2 begins around 26:40 while Jester speaks with Thadeus Candleglow at the edge of Alfield.

When No Man Has Gone Before plays at 35:15 as the Nein head to the Broad Barn after greeting Bryce Feelid.

At about 43:40, when the conversation changes to Jester's best dick, Matt switches to WoW Tavern music with Lion's Pride. I timestamped the song in the compilation below.

The next few songs are from the same compilation. Deepwater plays at 47:45 or so. Next is Spirit Stone as they discuss that Gustav is in the next town, Trostenwald.

Spikeroog plays at about 1:09:30, as the Nein hide or disguise themselves while a man rides by quickly.

Vergen by Night plays at about 1:19:40 or so, when Fjord pokes fun at Nott bailing out Gustav once the group realizes she never paid for anything.

Defiance Bay begins at about 1:30:55, as the rest of the Nein press Caduceus about why he's insisting that they get Gustav out despite his resignation to his sentence.

Aen Seidhe plays at about 1:34:00 or so, right as Beau tries to negitiate Norda further down on Gustav's bail.

At about 1:47:00, when they return from the break, Kaer Morhen begins.

Forest Day 1 from World of Warcraft plays at about 1:55:45, as the Nein notice the guard at the Wuyun gates during their approach. I linked it with a timestamp to that song, but you can also find it in the video description.

Exodar music plays around 2:04:10, just before the guards speak to Fjord about inspecting their group as they leave. I timestamped the first theme.

At about 2:12:45, as Caduceus spots the ettin, Burial Isle begins. It's the song with a mournful string and foreboding bells.

Temple of Woedica plays next just before Caduceus compliments the ettin's leathers.

At 2:19:45, ...Silver for Monsters kicks up just after one of the ettins flees because of Caleb's spell. (It's the LELELELE song!)

Peaceful Moments from the first Witcher game begins at about 3:05:55 while the Nein continue traveling after the encounter with the ettins and just before the pet vendor passes by.

Cloak and Dagger plays around 3:20:10 just after the case realizes Matt planted a pet vendor on their path because it was funny. This is the same song that Matt played multiple times in Shadycreek Run.

Back on the Path plays at 3:27:20 as the Nein move on with their new pets and Jester tries to teach Nugget that she is "home."

The Nightengale plays next as the Nein approach the Quoraska Jungle and catch sight of the ocean.
