Information ramble
Most morning consist of pulling together the puzzle parts of my cognitive abilities. I Accept this is perhaps the trade off of ASD, two decades of intermittent insomnia & 3 instances of COVID. It's quick enough I still feel capable, though does not help the debate of; learned behaviour, I have an identity VS very blank slate, I'm playing a character badly.
Am aware so many systems are at play entropy chaos is inevitable, though human scale systems have been on my mind a lot this month. As an individual I possess no significance ability to combat the industral military complex / capitalist disruption of global south & localised impact. In the short term future / present I CAN attempt to reduce reliancy for reduced disruption risk.
I keep returning to David Fleming's teachings, which influenced the transition town movement for local communities to withstand the disruptions from climate or economic sources. The application of brise soleil , earth ship retrofit to the external of houses & perennials c3 & C4 plants with other adaptions is an odd collection I'm rotating too much in my brain with limited new developments, so still ongoing.
These problem solving compulsions aren't new, ever since the film The day after Tomorrow I've had a hobbying interest in what adaptions can be performed for climate disruptions. Despite a related masters I don't work in the field (various personal limitations). Accessible 'public educators' I advocate to explore for UK gardens would be Huw Richards & Poppy Okotcha.
