NGC 3201, C79 // Scotty Bishop
This cluster harbors a dark secret in its core — a black hole that is indirectly observable through its gravitational effects on a nearby star. NGC 3201's orbit is also puzzling because it whips around the galaxy in the opposite direction that expected. This might indicate that NGC 3201 didn't originate in our galaxy at all!
This potential extragalactic visitor is visible during the autumn in the southern hemisphere.
