He never imagined he would be having a normal internship. Given, it was for the BND, which was rather far than normal, but he felt oddly at ease with the idea of making coffee runs, and standing in to make notes at meetings, doing random things anyone would do other than punching dummies in the face or learn the proper use of a lethal weapon. They could go back to that when the summer was over, but for now... His lunch breaks were the most cherished thing. The second he stepped outside of the building, he patted his pocket for his pack of cigarettes, and although he could feel them, upon seeing Aidan approach, he decided lonesome would not be his company that day. “Hey, uh– can I bum a cigarette? I have yet to figure out which German brand I like.” || @itsaidanblack

“Oh, he’s not home? I can just, uh, come back when he’s here. I didn’t mean to bother you,” Annie told Aidan. She wasn’t exactly very good at talking to people right now, very hyper aware about other opinions. While Evan could handle it better than her, that’s where Annie’s downfall waas, and it made her want to just lock herself up in her bedroom.

“If I say that I am surprised to find that your bunch of miscreants are able to properly dress yourselves, would that be offensive?” Kiaan asked with a pretty tilt of his head and a smile that, though wide and gleaming, was a bit too sharp to be considered one of simple friendliness. “Though, I am known for my eye when it comes to such a thing. You’d make a killing with that jawline in the right circles, apple. Affiliation aside, beauty trumps all in this city, yes? That and money.” Kiaan commented, nearly sighing out the end. He was as bad as any when it came to the easy corruption that Sin City provided, but that didn’t mean that it didn’t tire him all the same. “Tell me, which is your poison? You’ve been around as long as I’ve known so what’s keeping you? Family? Money? Fear of anything else?” He asked, trying to get at the root of what he knew best. People’s desires.

It wasn’t completely unintentional when Grayson’s shoulder knocked into that of someone with a familiar face. He may have been gone from the city for just over a year, but Grayson was not completely ignorant of those that were left behind, including those on the Syndicate’s side. There was no running from the gang or gang life and after returning due to the news of the Golden Syndicate murdering Michael... Grayson was more than ready to help his gang send heads rolling down the Strip. “Watch where you’re going, man. Would hate to see another body ending up in some back alley.” He tossed over his shoulder.
Phoenix Circus was cracked open, doors unlatched and the contents of countless apartments on display for the sole purpose of a party. Of course they’d been given the option to participate and of course Kat and Anna had agreed. Their door had been one of the first to fling open this evening, their take on Woodstock open to the public... or at least their neighbors.
Kat had been in the kitchen pouring herself another glass of wine, a bottle that she’d tucked away between the pots and pans. Sacred. The punch bowl was perfectly tasty, as were the cans of various ciders and seltzers cluttering their fridge, but wine fit the mood for the moment. Specifically a nice magically chilled rose. As the glass filled, Kat watched from the corner of her eye as someone new snuck on in.
Not difficult to miss: dark clothes in a crowd of rainbow and glitter.
“Excuse me,” she called out, stepping into their what-could-barely-be-called-a-hallway with a hand on her hip and her head cocked, “but you look like you haven’t paid the entry-fee. Can’t be having that, nope, no sir. Sooo...” Kat hummed, dragging out her vowels as she walked up behind him, drawing closer to their body-painting station. “I suggest you walk that pretty arse back over here. If you know what’s good for you.” ( @cecewrites & @cece1x1 )
“Uh– hey...?” He tapped Aidan’s shoulder, not sure exactly how to start a conversation for something awkward like... “I think your shirt is inside out.” || @itsaidanblack
