Continued from here for CJ:
The crestfallen features were an easy read the moment Sasha saw the young woman, and despite only having general exchanges with CJ in the past she wasn’t about to leave it alone. It just wasn’t her nature.
After she asked the question despondency seemed to radiate. Responding she took a step closer watching as the other tucked a honey-colored lock behind her ear. Drawing near just in case something personal was about to be shared.
Her confession came tumbling out and Sasha offered up a haphazard smile. “I’m sorry it’s a difficult place to be in. I think it’s hard sometimes for those that truly love us to see us as being capable. They're just used to playing their part...ya know? Caretaker.. stuck in the past and either choose not to accept things have changed or are too afraid.”
Sasha dropped her gaze a bit to the girl’s shoulder before she continued, “I can relate. I feel that way about my father, but I try to tell myself it comes from a place of love.” Offering a smirk before she continued, “When he really drives me crazy I just tell him that I’m his daughter and any insufficiency in me is a product of being raised by him.”
A brow lifted before as she dragged out the first word, “Who’s acting? And handle what exactly?”
