Doris has always looked up to Lily, even though the red head is younger than her. Her strength and bravery, along with her kindness, are things that Doris have admired since she met her.

The Order was really scary to Doris until Lily helped her join, and trained her. She was confident in herself and her abilities more than she had even been after Lily helped her.

Doris believes that Lily helped make her who she is, and when the Potters are killed, Doris doesn’t leave her house for three days. She is a wreck after she hears the news of their death and carries their memories with her right alongside her hatred for the war.
