“I hate to admit it, but you’re completely right, let’s do a little run down then. The Mickey, Declan, and Chris drama is making me feel 20 years younger. Who would have guessed that Mickey would sleep with father and son and then Daddy Chris was going to blow up about it? I guess that’s what you get for not telling your boy toy the name of your son who also lives in town. I hear Macah and Pax have a date, finally, maybe those boy will give us the action we’ve been wait for. But something tells me things are going to move a little too slow for my liking. Siobhan is an enigma but he seems to have something going on with Luna. Going to have to keep an eye on him and see what comes from all of that. Does anyone ever know what is going on with Hollis and Evelyn? Those two confuse me more than when I got my first smart phone. My sources say that Alec is no longer a ‘boy virgin’ but the jury is out on if he’s slept with a girl before, but I don’t think he has slept with anyone else in town yet. And what is with all the kids in this town with their daddy kinks? I get it, Joe is an attractive man, but will no one date or hook up with someone their own age? Did we miss anything? I’m sure there’s more drama than that happening, it is Dayton after all.”

How do you think Pax is going to handle the fact that Alec is falling for someone else?

“My money is on that he cries. That seems to be a thing he does, that or run to Mckenna and be his second or third choice depending on how many other people the ginger stallion’s met that week. Maybe he’ll surprise us and do something interesting like go on a binger or top a daddy. We shall see!”

[She can’t say she’s angry. Because she’s not. She’s not angry. There’s a line between cross and angry and she’s hovering uncomfortably between, an uneven middle ground that doesn’t allow her to pop off, exactly, but doesn’t allow her to be complacent, either. It’s a hunger for more information to shift her one way or the other. She needs an excuse -- a reason -- to be more angry than cross, or more complacent than vengeful. She doesn’t know what’s going to happen to Mouse in correctional, and she doesn’t know how far Pax’s knowledge reaches. But the fact that Mouse is in at all, and Pax knew at all, is enough to nudge her over the line of cross and into anger.

Thankfully, she is no longer the short-tempered explosive child she once was. The littlest impulse could’ve sent her emotions in a whirl, but these days, she’s got a better handle on herself. Gather the facts, analyze the situation -- explode only if necessary. That doesn’t mean she’s going to go easy on him.

She approaches his booth in the Hub, puts her hand high on one of the  beams she helped nail in, and the other on her hip.] When were you going to tell me you recruited Mouse into your whole beach party scheme? [She asks with a twist of one eyebrow slightly higher on her forehead.] Was it going to be before or after I watched him get dragged to correctional? Or maybe it was somewhere in between telling me you were going to have this stupid master plan, and getting half the Infected carted off for having their bloody tattoos removed. I’m so pleased I was kept out of the loop on this one, really, really chuffed.
