This wasn't really a conversation that Dorian wanted to be having with his sister, but equally, he didn't want Rosa to end up finding out any other way. It was important to him that he was as transparent with her as he could manage being and even if he disliked talking about it, that meant pulling it together and just spitting it out.

When the door was knocked, Dorian padded across the floor to open it up. "You do know you have your own set of keys and I have said before you can let yourself in. It's not as though I'm going to be doing anything I shouldn't when I've invited you around." He pointed out, guiding the woman into a light hug as she entered. "It's good to see you though."

There’d been a knot in Ducky’s stomach ever since the basketball game - and it grew and grew and grew, until he’d practically been left unable to eat. It was dramatic - he knew this, but it knowing hadn’t stopped the stinging, even when he’d gone home with Clem - even the days after. Even when he’d thrown himself into studying and dealing and avoiding everywhere where the two of them could be - and even now, almost head-on colliding with Rosa in the Noland hallway. Stinging. Stung. “Hey,” Ducky found himself saying after far too long of a silence, standing there with too many thoughts on how to proceed, “How - how’ve you been? With uh - everything.”

Athena had walked out of the gym, freshly showered and refreshed as she began heading to her locker to grab her clothes to get up and go. She hadn’t been paying much attention as she was drying her hair off with a towel until she accidentally crashed into someone else. “Shit,” she muttered to herself with a head shake. “Sorry about that, hon. You okay?”

"I'd say my choices this year should be pretty obvious. I need to make sure to keep myself out of toxic work environments and also not mix business with pleasure." Not that he'd make that mistake again. Dorian wasn't the type to make the same mistake twice. "Though maybe we should come up with a resolution for one another too. Sometimes it's easier for people looking in to know what we need more than we do for ourselves. Admittedly, I'm curious as to what you would give me as a resolution too."
