“Oh I’m here all the time,” Rosa said standing up straighter. “I like to keep myself fit. And work on my flexibility. I’ve got to keep up wit it for my job.” She gave her a sly smile. “Night shift though. That sounds exciting.What’s your line of work?”

“Ah, interesting,” Athena nodded with a look of intrigue. “Are you a gymnast or an acrobat by chance?” She asked with genuine curiosity. “Exciting was probably my first year,” The green-eyed brunette chuckled. “Law enforcement, third year.”

“The dead? Na, just took a nice random trip to Paris. Plus the doctor hadn’t cleared me for full time yet. Thought it was a good time to use some of those pilled up vacation days.” He joked right back, it was nice to see a friendly face. “Yup all well and clear back to full time duty. They haven’t found him yet but they have made some headway.” Honestly he didn’t hold his breath, they have to catch the gun being used again to even get the guy. In his stupior after being shot had left his memory hazy, so he couldn’t make a positive identification.

“So you get injured and go to Paris? Wow, Max, you’re really stepping up your game,” Athena teased the man once more. “That’s good at least. Especially now that you’re better you can track that motherfucker down and blow his ass--or taze him, whichever gives you more satisfaction,” She pointed out as she shoved her hands in her pocket. “Soooo, are you going to tell me how Paris was? Or are you just going to gloss over everything?”

“Don’t even talk about dying. I would lose my mind if I lost you.” She frowned. She understood the risks that came with her sisters job but she couldn’t bare the fact when it came down to it. Athena was smart though, so Aph was pretty sure she’d be okay for the most part. “You should still go on an actual date or two. That would make me so happy to hear about.” She sighed dramatically. “None of it, dear sister. I am either on a serious dry spell or just simply cursed. I don’t know why for the latter though because I am careful with giving back good karma.”

“Death is an inevitable thing for everyone, which is probably why my love skills are severely stunted,” Athena pointed out with sincerity to her tone this time. She groaned at her sister’s request, “With who, exactly? Cause 95.4% of Santa Monica, mind you, is in a relationship. Then there’s us 4.6% who just want to have a good time and lots of wild, passionate, hot sex.” Athena raised an eyebrow towards Aphrodite as she rested her chin on the palm of her hand. “People can be jealous. Maybe they put evil eye on your relationships?”

“And how do I know that’s fact? Just because your fine now doesn’t mean you won’t die young from suffering from a serious lack of love in your life. Our family is so hard at showing it already, I just want you to be loved.” She gave her a sincere look. “You may be fine, but checking your horoscope never hurt and that’s my stance.” She looked at her hands for a moment. “Fabulous as always. Still single, sadly.”

“Perks of being a cop. If I die, I die. At least I’ll die knowing that I’ve lived,” Athena pointed out. “I am loved. I’ve got the family, I’ve got self-love--to a certain extent, but Aph, sis, I’ll be okay. It’s like death and war, it’s just not time for me yet. If it comes and it stumbles upon me, I’ll know and if it doesn’t, it’s not the end of the world and we all live to see another day,” She responded with a smirk. She sighed, “Alright, I’ll check my horoscope but I find it pretty hard believe that you, the most romantic of all Speros, is single. Not even a crush? A little fling?”

Max had just gotten his last check up on is new bullet wound. Everything was in the clear and he was also clear for full time duty with the promise he wouldn’t be back for some time. He was walking back to the station in just his tank top, the button down slung across his left shoulder, almost pridefully showing off his scar. Recognizing someone he yelled out, “Hey you aren’t in trouble right?” He said catching up with them, “This is the way to the police station.” He chuckled teasing a bit.

Athena looked over at the voice that had called out to her and she chuckled. It had been a while since she had last seen Max around. “Well, well, look who came back from the dead,” She teased. “Oh, I know. Definitely in huge trouble at this point,” She teased. “Your arm’s looking better. Did they catch the asshole who did it yet or...?”

She gasped. “Non-existent? Well, you need to fix that!!” She might have no had much of a love life herself right now, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t set her sister up. “There has to be someone out there for you. There is always someone.” At the mention of her zodiac she rolled her eyes. “Okay, sure. Except I know you’re lying. You are such an Aries. But I love you for it.”

“Aph...” She groaned, shaking her head. “I’m perfectly content as a single human being. I won’t die without romantic love, I promise you,” Athena laughed, shaking her head. “Yes, yes, Aries, the fire sign, the impulsive of impulsivity. I know, but trust me. I’m fine. What about you?”

Sammy had never been good around cops, ever since his uncle had decided to get his father killed and place the blame on him he’d done nothing but avoid them. Even now, that he was back from hiding out with his dads and his mom was helping him clear his name while he kept his alias, he tried to keep a low profile. Still, he couldn’t really just ignore the woman sitting next to him, he kept throwing looks her way until he finally decided to start the conversation with a simple. “Let me buy a drink for one of SM’s finest?”

Bored beyond belief was Athena’s MO for the night, sitting and listening to the same Post Malone song that was meant to get the crowd ‘hype’, she sighed, taking another drink of her beer. That was until she caught the eye of a guy who, by the looks of it, seemed to be interested, and as she took another slow sip of her beer, her eyes flickered between him and the beer until he finally came over. “Sweet of you to offer,” She smirked. “What’s your poison of choice for tonight?”

Family is really important to Aphrodite. Sure she has a lot of people to keep up with and half the time it could be a lot to handle, but Aphrodite wasn’t one to shy away with a little game of catch-up. Today’s sibling was none other than her secret favorite Athena. Athena just had the brains, beauty, and she put up with Aph’s antics. Sometimes she wouldn’t know what she would do without her.

They agreed to meet up at Tres Bon (mostly due to Aphrodite insisting they deserved fine dining). And when they were finally seated, Aphrodite started pouring in with the questions “Thena, my lovely sister. Please do tell me how you are! How’s the love life? Please tell me you’ve found the one. If you’ve been checking your horoscope, you should be closer to true love than ever before! Oh do tell me you’ve been keeping up with them!”

Athena was usually distant from her family with the exception of her younger sister, Aphrodite. Her loving nature made it all the more easier for her to get along with and thus, she was protective over her, even though she didn’t like to admit it, but it was her duty as the older half-sister to look after the girl who wore her heart on her sleeve. However, she knew that Aphrodite was just as clever as well and that she’d eventually have to ease up just a little on her. 

After pulling up to Tres Bon and entering the fancy restaurant, Athena’s green eyes slowly widened at Aphrodite’s questions. “Aph, my sweet, sweet sister of mine,” She chuckled, shaking her head. “Love life’s non-existent, but the sex is great..and you might kill me because I haven’t read my horoscopes. You know I feel about the zodiac. Mine isn’t even accurate a thousand percent of the time except for the fact that I’m hot-headed.”

Rosa had spent a long time working on her routine, doing it over and over until she decided it was perfect. Her muscles were sore and all she wanted was a nice shower. It seemed like life had other plans for her. She didn’t want to be creepy or anything, but the woman who bumped into her was an actual goddess. “Oh don’t be sorry,” she said smoothly. “I’m sorry for not running into you sooner, honestly. Not to sound like a cliche, but do you come here often?”

Athena was at ease that the woman she had knocked into her wasn’t angry, but she also might’ve been more at ease as to how alluring she was, almost hypnotic, even. “I’d say the feeling’s mutual,” She chuckled, moving her dark tresses from her face. “Only when I’m not scheduled nights, what about you?”

Athena had walked out of the gym, freshly showered and refreshed as she began heading to her locker to grab her clothes to get up and go. She hadn’t been paying much attention as she was drying her hair off with a towel until she accidentally crashed into someone else. “Shit,” she muttered to herself with a head shake. “Sorry about that, hon. You okay?”

“Bingo. I think coming home to an empty bed is the worst part of it all. Sure, I have my fun, but I don’t have anything.. that’s permanent. To count on sort of thing, and I know that sounds so needy. I guess going from having something I thought I would have for forever , to nothing really hits home.” Laughing she nodded. “Should have listened before I got too tangled up in a Dark Royal.” Nodding softly she looked towards her. “Without a second of hesitation. But.. I haven’t heard from him since I left. Or any attempt to come back.. even speak to me. I don’t think he really ever loved me..” She admitted with a sad smile. “Which.. it happens.” 

“Yeah, you’ve got a point there. It’s like...wanting to find that one permanent thing. That one person to come home you can just tell everything to at night and shit like that. It doesn’t sound needy, it’s human nature to want to be in romantic love,” She responded after taking a sip of her drink. “I mean no offense to them, but it’s the facade they tend to put up to the world. Zach doesn’t entirely seem like that type though...” She shrugged. “Really? I find that hard to believe...that he didn’t love you. Maybe there’s something holding him back, you know?”

All Athena could do at this point was hum in delight, her hands running through Daisy’s blonde hair as she moaned out once more. Her eyes fluttering shut as Daisy’s lips became heaven to her aching need.

“You can’t really have anything real. The oversea flings, and hook ups are fun. And some of the models are very much so worth it. But.. it gets kinda old after awhile. Even more so when you see happy relationships all around you.” she grumbled with a shrug. Alana tensed up slightly, holding her phone a little tighter in her hand. Little did Athena know, that face was still the background of her phone. “We just didn’t see things eye to eye… I was tried of thinking he was a stranger when we were in the public eye. It was only.. sweet and the man I loved when we were away from everyone. Like he couldn’t show a softer side..” 

“I guess...you’ve got a point there. Plus coming home, you see everyone all loved up and it makes you wonder, I don’t blame you,” Athena nodded in agreement as she took another sip of her drink. She noticed Alana tense up and nearly regretted she even asked until the brunette spoke again. “Perks of dating a Dark Royal, huh?” She frowned. “That sucks, Lana...” She sighed. “Maybe I’ve been hanging around my younger sister too much, but, do you think you’d be willing to give him a second chance if things changed?”

“Oh, well I get told I do that pretty often.” She mumbled with a small shrug. “What? Why? Is it the whole travel model thing? Because it’s great, but the jet lag is a real kicker. And it’s a damper on dating life.” 

“Really?” She asked curiously. “Wait what? What do you mean a damper on dating life?” Athena was taken aback by Alana’s comment. “What about flings overseas and messing around?--Most importantly, whatever happened between you and Jetsam--or is it not okay for me to ask?”

Athena relished in every bite, every teasing flick of Daisy’s tongue against her skin. She knew the game, but the blonde did deserve every bit of praise, after all. “What more can I say about you? You’re a goddess in you’re own right,” She chuckled, biting back a moan.

Blinking a few times she took a sip of her lemonade before clearing her throat. “Shit that’s so lemon-y. I’m sorry. Overthink as much as you wish, cause I have no idea what you’re talking about and maybe I’ll catch on.” She stated with an innocent smile. 

“I’m having a stream-of-consciousness moment, talking out of my ass,” Athena teased, nudging Alana’s arm. “I envy you sometimes, you know.”
