Here's my great big Paint Tool Sai masterlist of brushes that I use day-to-day (yknow, when I'm drawing day to day or whatever). They're basically my staples! Most of these are copied from other masterlists that have long since left my bookmarks (I've been using some of these for over 10 years now??).... but here they are for easy searching~

Water Colour X and Blocky Marker are two brushes I made myself in an effort to emulate a specific colouring technique that I loved seeing in some of my favourite Bella Sara horse cards! It's the only 'complicated' brush here because it requires knowing where the Paints Effects drop-down is (usually underneath the canvas navigator!), as well as knowing how to install textures (which is actually quite easy). Below the cut, I'll have info on how to install or create your own brush!

First of all, many of these brushes will require downloading initial textures / brush forms that most paint tool sai users have by now. These are tried-and-true and, as long as you have your adblocker on, this post here is very helpful and informative on how to load them into your Sai brush folders if you don't already have them. Here is a more detailed way of understanding where to find your folders and how they work.

For my WCX and Blocky brush, I made my own ELEMAP item. Here is the image (this is a google drive link because tumblr does not allow .bmp files) - save it to your 'elemap' folder under a name you will recognise later on. The extension for this image must be a BITMAP (or .bmp) for it to work properly, and can't have plain spaces in the title - use underscores if you must. Mine is titled 'Rhombus1' because it's a rhombus and that's what I decided, but you can call it whatever you want as long as you remember / copy it exactly in the next step. In order to add this to your program properly, you will need to add the following line to your brushform.conf file: 2,elemap/Rhombus1.bmp (or whatever you titled the .bmp as you saved it!) In order to load it in PTS after this, save your .conf file, close your PTS program and reopen it, and it should now be a working selection under the '(simple circle)' drop-down. Tada! Now the brush texture is loaded and you can set everything up to play with. In order to adjust the Paints Effect, you should find that under your navigator pane. You may have to press the + button next to it for the options to appear, but then you should be all set.

If you have any questions about this stuff, feel free to shoot me an ask! Like I said, a lot of this is just regurgitated / repurposed stuff I picked up over the years, but sharing is caring and I want to make sure I can re-make my brushes should I ever need to, LOL.

C-Grade: 1$ usd (kuromi and my melody available) (c grade is still kind of minor, but more noticable dirt / fiber in the print, as well as minor colour errors like spotty discolouration)

some tattoo concepts i cleaned up a little bit. i wish i werent a baby or else id get these done
