Mission name: Srilankan style cabbage prawn curry | Muttaikose kolambu Ground set up: Roughly chopped cabbage chunks - 1no Small sized prawns - 15nos Poppy seeds - 1tbsp Fennel seeds - 1tbsp Cumin seeds - 1tbsp Coriander seeds - 1tbsp Cinnamon - 1inch Seaweed - 1no Star anise - 1no Elachi - 1no Peppercorns - 1tbsp Dry chillies - 5nos Green chillies - 2nos Chilli powder - 2tbsp Salt - 1tbsp Turmeric powder - 1tsp Coriander powder - 3tbsp Shallots - 7nos Tomatoes - 2nos Thick coconut milk - 1cup Water - 2cups Coriander & mint leaves - 1bunch Curry leaves - 2sprigs Coconut oil - 5tbsp Sunflower oil - 6tbsp No. of disasters per fire: 5persons How to launch: 1. Grind poppy seeds + fennel seeds + cumin seeds + coriander seeds + ginger + garlic + pepper corns + cinnamon + dry chilli into a fine paste. 2. Heat a kadai, add coconut oil 5tbsp + 5tbsp sunflower oil. Fry cinnamon + elachi + seaweed + star anise. 3. Add shallots + green chillies + curry leaves + salt and let it turn translucent. 4. Add tomatoes, saute for 2mins. Add prawns + cabbage give it a good toss for about 2mins. 5. Sprinkle chilli powder + turmeric powder + coriander powder and roast for about a minute. 6. Add the grinded paste + thick coconut milk + water + coriander leaves + mint leaves and add 1tbsp of oil, give it a quick stir. Allow it to boil for 10mins and turn off the stove. Mission launched: Goes well with white rice, idly or parotta. It taste like a typical south Indian salna. Post mission expedition: 1.
