Did you free hand the stencil for the stranger things embroidery?
Nope! What I did was print the text in the right size for the hoop and then used some transfer paper underneath the design to put it on the fabric. It’s like carbon paper in a way, but it doesn’t dust off all over your hands. You just lay it face down on the fabric, lay the printed design over it, and then press over that with a stylus. The paper I use is available here.
It had been too long since I drew my raven son and his bird, so hopefully this doodle works instead of the old post.
