I don’t know why, but I love sticking our three main girls together. Probably because then we all can have art of our characters, minimum effort on my part. Normally these pictures don’t go as well together, but this time, I managed to pose them in a coherent cute fashion. :D
So this is @anijeltaventry’s Te’ah, @callistochan87’s Caecily, and my Eileen. Ceacily hasn’t really been a Thing since 2017, but considering I ended up using a similar plot point that she has in her story in my story, I had connected the two from the beginning.
(Don’t even ask me how I remember that plot point, since it’s been seven years since I saw that, lol)
Their stories aren’t really that similar – Te’ah’s is fantasy/scifi, with the love interest actually being an alien to their world. Ceacily’s is, like, an adventure quest sort of thing? Not sure on her’s. And Eileen’s is D&D-esque, with levels and a party system and dungeons and the like. But eh, they have monsters in them (I think in Te’ah’s case), and that’s all that matters, lol.
I actually am considering (mildly) changing the name of The Hero’s Party. Te’ah’s story is The Weight of the World, Caecily’s is The Edge of the Earth, and then Eileen is The Hero’s Party? I was thinking The Changing of Fate, just to match everything up.
(But not really, since this isn’t like Angelus Dei, Aspera Virtus, and Casus Belli, in that we actually connected them. Just thought it was amusing they choose similar sounding names to each other.)
I’m also considering changing Eileen’s name. Like, it’s okay, especially since her character’s supposed to be a bit bland and ordinary, but I’m kinda meh about it. I can’t think of her as anything but at this point.
(I just looked up names similar to Alicia, her sister, because I do like that name, and one of them was Olivia, so now I’m sort of tossing that one around and seeing if it sticks, lol)
I do like how they turned out, like they’re actually posing (awkwardly) for the invisible camera. Which would make more sense if they weren’t medieval fantasy based. (Ceacily is more 18th century, but eh, still not cameras.) But still, turned out cute!
(Also, I just realized that Te’ah totally looks like a tavern wrench and now I can’t unsee it, especially with the background that I chose. :P)
A little character design today! A knight, a cleric and a...princess? I’ve had lots of fun drawing those, I wanted those guys to look cute and silly, as if they were part of a colorful cartoon (the red-headed one looks a bit like a creep, but every story needs one :D )
Acrylic doodle I wanted to get rid of, but my friend Esther prevented me to do so. It actually looks better now that I reframed it, she was right. x) I thought it looked too rough.
Hey! i’m keeping this tumblr updated by sharing my new digital work with you. It’s a 4 hour school assignment : we had to depict a black woman, wearing feather earrings, a fur collar and a bun. I had fun painting her like a 1920′s flapper dancer. Women at that time wore so much make up and sometimes had loose clothing that looked like lingerie, I find it very glamorous :p Got inspired. Hope you like it. :)
A 2013 comic I had to do for school. We were free to chose our subject, so I chose to tell a story of revenge in Corsica, because that’s where I’m from, and I love vengeance tales ! Makes me feel so good when justice is done in a movie after a long time of tension and suspense!
Im not posting the entire thing because I believe it looks a bit confusing and hard to follow. Too many strips and too much talk I think. (even though when I did it, it felt just right ^^) I wanted it to look like Merimé’s Colomba, a famous corsican tale, and also refer to “Voceri”, traditionnal funereal songs.
Hope you like those sketches :) They tell the story of a little boy and girl, whose father was murdered by a rich landowner, without anyone but them knowing. They have to wait until they’re adults to take their father’s lands back from the old crook and to get rid of him...
