maybe i should start posting the art i made in the earlyish days of my mom radicalizing into the whole Concerned(tm) TERF Parents thing going around

His hair is short and he's reaching his arms up, hands almost covering his face. The only feature drawn on the face is the right eye and right eyebrow, which has an eyebrow ring through it. He's wearing a black suit with a black tie, like someone would wear at a funeral. His posture is stiff, his shoulders straight, his arms pressed to his sides, giving him a strict rectangular silhouette. He's staring intensely at something in front of him: several flowers, varying in size, probably laid by someone, maybe covering something. This is a broad term to unite queer trauma survivors who have had their queer identities affected by their trauma in some way. I wanted to create a term to acknowledge how trauma can impact one's experiences with one's own identity and queerness.

Caedqueer, or caedoqueer, is a broad identity describing someone who identifies as queer and feels that one's queerness or parts of one's queer identity have (whether presently or in the past) been altered or damaged, if not entirely "cut away," by trauma of some form.

One may still use this term if one's queer identity has been altered, damaged or "cut away" due to trauma in the past (even if, presently, they have recovered and have a strong connection with their queer identity) as long as this part of one's experience is something one wants a term to acknowledge.

The term may be used as:

A broad term for any folks who want a word to acknowledge that their queer identity has been/is being negatively affected by trauma/(a) traumatic experience(s).

A broad term for those who do not want to specify the identities that have been affected by trauma in this way (as opposed to more specific caed- labels).

This term is exclusive to trauma survivors and/or those with PTSD.

i could try to explore and dissect and separate the interactions between my perception of my gender & my trauma and mental illness, or i could say they are a part of me and their influence on my perception of my gender is just as real and worthy and valid as any other influence and that my perception of my gender IS my gender,

this isn’t like one of those “i could do xyz OR i could do [way better sounding alternative]” kinds of posts i really could just do either and i could even go back and forth between which one i want to do and what does it matter this isn’t an assignment it doesn’t have a due date i don’t ever have to find an answer and i don’t ever have to try. anyways what did this post start off being about again
