I was too tired to tumblr yesterday, so this is delayed, but I was hoping you would send me a number! You’re my favorite cousin, and just generally really cool! It’s always really comforting to know that you’ve had a lot of the same issues I do in re: mental health because a) it’s validating and b) I’m like - you’re a real adult and doing ok and I can be too! Since you asked me about about the odd-numbered Harry Potter books, what are your thoughts on books 2, 4 and 6?

Burn 2- I don’t dislike 2 or anything, but it also feels least necessary to the flow of the books to me, and for some reason despite the threat actually being really serious it doesn’t come off as as... idk.. threatening as it is?

Read 4 - A good book, yes. 

Rewrite 6 - 6 honestly has both my favorite moments and my ABSOLUTE LEAST FAVORITE moments, so yeah, I would like all the Harry Embraces His Fate While I Cry, stalking Draco Malfoy, and Slughorn hilariousness and please none of Remus and Tonks are in an abusive relationship, Harry is bad at seeing Ginny as a real person, and chest monsters etc.

Camping?

CAMPING IS SLEEPING ON THE COLD HARD GROUND IN THE WET AND THE COLD AND THE WET AND IT’S BORING AND DIRT GETS IN YOUR SHOES and there’s always some asshole RVer with a generator that goes off at fuck-all o’clock in the morning

also I have some childhood memories of camping where like... some of it was fun but then sometimes dad would have a temper tantrum and that was not fun at all at all (which is not the fault of camping per se, but it’s an association I have)

Are you from the south?: I’m assuming this means what American’s call the south, so no, I’m from Scotland. And the East of Scotland at that. :)

Do you like the camera on your phone?: I hate the damn thing. If the flash isn’t on then the photos are blurry, but if the flash is on it blacks out anything in the background and looks weird. Dumb phone.
