Day 17- 21  Oh man I had so much to do sorry I had to take Amy to the vet, after Hope ripped her halfway out of the cage. The vet said he’s surprised she didn’t just have a heart attack. She has a little cast and medicine.

Warm and Soft 

I literally never talk about the fact that Taliesin has a boyfriend??? I feel like he just shows up unexplained. Part of the issue is that I don’t have the whole Elf Friends plot-thing sorted out since it’s still a Stage 2 Idea,but thus far it’s roughly that they meet by Cheesy Happenstance. 

By Happenstance I mean Tal got stranded on a planet, and decided to live in a shitty old shack in the woods that he found that Caelem happened to inherit shortly after Tal finished renovating it. After travelling up to it, meeting the weird elf within, and finding that he had fixed up the place, Caelem was rather hesitant to kick him out and made a deal (Via extensive miming and sign language) to allow Tal to stick around, on the condition that he keep the place maintained and eventually pay some sort of rent. Since Tal had exactly no ability to speak the local language, Cael ended up regularly visiting him in an effort to teach him. They bonded (Although Tal’s efforts to explain what space was and how space travel works got lost in translation a bit), and when Cael’s recently married sister kicked him out he immediately started rooming with the Elf. Roommate Shenanigans (tm) followed and eventually (several months in) the both of them realize “Oh shit, I really like this guy” and they end up dating for a while before Lawrie tracks Tal down and tells him to get back on this ship.

Caelem comes with, because hell, tagging along on a ride with some space elves, his Weird Boyfriend, and his dog sounds like a way better time than being the Village Weirdo (He’s a mage. No one trusts him). 

And that’s how the become Boyfriends in Space (Yes, it’s cheesy. I’m having fun)

Heres a new oc, Caelem (pronounced like salem)! Above is his first concept stuff, the bottom ref sheet is what I decided on in the end

Caelem is the heir to a traditional vampire cult, run by an extensive family that has kept it running by blood with heirs for centuries. Caelem is the result of an affair a short time before, and when the time came to create a new heir it was found out that Caelem was the true first-born, instead of the younger thought-to-be heir sibling. Now Caelem takes his rightful place in the cult with questionable ambitions.
