It had been a long time since Xen had seen Celeste- since she had crossed his mind at all. But anyone who delusioned themselves that they understood how time worked, that they had mastered it, were the world's first idiots.
Nevertheless, it was important to try. Which was why Xen was at the front door of Celeste's family home, arms full of wildflowers he'd picked for her. There was probably enough to fill 10 vases, but Xen would bet money on the Travers having 10 extra vases that needed filling.
"Come on out-" Xen sang under his breath, grinning. "Where is Celeste? Where did that little star go?"
