I just want to thank you for having such a great blog :) I’m an English grad student and stumbled into Classics because I needed a year of Latin, but I loved it and met an incredible PhD student. When he moved away, Classics felt ruined... literally anything Greek and Roman made me miserable just from missing him. But you remind me that the Roman world is still fascinating on its own, and I’m so grateful for how optimistic and brilliant you are (also for your amazing embroidery). So thank you!
This is such an excellent message! You’re so kind and I love getting messages like this that make running this silly blog worth it…. I’m thinking of putting more Caelius letters, maybe more Pliny? More poetry?
