Betws-y-coed, Conwy County, Caernarfonshire, Wales
Flag of Caernarfonshire, a historic county in Wales
from /r/vexillology Top comment: The flag is based on the CoA of Owain Gwynedd, who was King of Gwynedd from 1137-1170. The Eagles are symbolic of “Eryri” (Snowdonia), commonly thought to be derived from “eryr” (Welsh for eagle) and meaning “land of eagles”. A similar banner was borne by the Caernarfonshire units at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415.
