Jinx pulled a face as she adjusted her backpack strap for the millionth time today, resisting the urge to just collapse in the middle of the path and succumb to slumber.
She'd been trekking for an hour or two already, and now she regretted telling her friend that she could make it back to Jump City by herself. Bludhaven was farther than she had expected, apparently.
Stupid pride, Jinx thought unhappily, pausing to push her black glasses further up her nose. She was in civilian clothes today, thank karma gods for that, since she'd certainly have given up on walking much earlier if she'd been doing it in platform boots and tights and a dress.
Narrowed eyes as she peered around. The road back (if this was the right one at all) was surprisingly deserted--she hadn't run into anyone for miles. But... maybe, if she was lucky...
"Helloooo--o?" she called tentatively, swiping her arm across her forehead to get rid of the sweat.
