Naps with Caboose were usually awesome. After all, it usually meant lots of pillows and soft blankets, and who didnt love that? 

But every now and then, his brain had to ruin it by supplying him with a nightmare.

“Sarge.... Donut...” he mumbled. “Wait...! Simmons... c’mon!” And then there were a few groans that were closer to sobs. “.... dont leave...”

“I’m good! I’m happy! So I kissed you and hugged you! ‘Cause that’s what I do when I’m happy and I like someone a lot. ” Caboose explained, still holding Wash close- and off the ground, although that wasn’t intentional. “How are you Wash?”

Though it felt a little odd to be picked up, he didn’t mind it too much.  He tilted his head to the side a bit at the younger male’s response before grinning lightly and nodding. “That’s good. Uh, I’m good too.” Better now, anyway. Caboose certainly had that affect on a person. “Relaxed. It good to see you.”

Caboose had a bad habit of walking into rooms unannounced. Unfortunately, that often led to some awkward situations; such as the one now. He wouldn't have thought anything of Washington sleeping -it was no secret that he needed to sleep more often-, and likely would have simply left and let the other soldier catch up on sleep. However, the way that Washington was /reacting/ made him pause, and Caboose found himself blushing as he realized he was actually staring. (( f orgive me for i have sinned

Wash didn’t generally have dreams like this very often. In fact, it was an absolute rarity. But maybe the stress was finally getting to him. It had been quite awhile since he had been able to take care of himself.

Especially like this.

It’s all very real to him. While he couldn’t give a name of who he was dreaming about–it’s too blurry to make out–they were doing a very good job. Hands clutched at the sheets of his bed as a few tiny moans escaped his lips. If he realized what was going on, he would probably be more than mortified.

[!!! oh gos h yes! I think?? I think it’s because of how genuine Caboose is as a character like..Wash doesn’t really feel like he has to change anything about himself bc Caboose loves him anyway?? So he’s just super shy about that fact I think]
