30 Day OTP Challenge - Day Six: Wearing Each Other's Clothes
"Nooo~ you'll stretch it!" Piper whines, flailing her arms back and forth. Hunter keeps dodging out of her reach and the ridiculously long sleeves on the hooded sweater she's wearing aren't helping her gain any purchase when she does grab him. He's laughing at her, and looks utterly stupid wearing a pale pink cardigan that Piper had been in the process of folding, over his t-shirt. Somehow he's got it into his head that because she's wearing something belonging to him, he should be allowed to wear something belonging to her. The cardigan was the first thing to hand. Piper supposes it could be worse, and he could be parading around her house in her underwear like he's threatened, but still. She likes that cardigan, and Hunter is bigger than she is. "Take it off!" "You take my hoodie off." Hunter retorts from the bottom of the stairs. This chase had gone all around the top floor of Piper's house and now Hunter's on the ground floor, while Piper stands about six steps above him glaring. Caesarmon and Skollmon were quick to get out from underneath the feet of their human partners, but are watching amused from the safety of Caesarmon's hallway bed that sits under the stairwell. "I'm not taking this off." Piper folds her arms, the long sleeves dangle over her hands and wave. "Then I'm not taking your clothes off either." Hunter retorts, and mimics Piper's stance. He's in one of his silly moods, and Piper is more amused than she is annoyed. This all started because Hunter had left the hoodie there weeks ago, Piper had washed it and taken it wearing it at home when she was lazing around the house. Hunter hadn't recognised it when he had first come round, but after about an hour he had realised the top belonged to him and demanded compensation of some kind. Piper hadn't thought he'd been serious as she had folded up her laundry and from there this whole thing has escalated. "Give me my cardigan! You're going to ruin it!" Piper orders. "Make me!" Hunter responds like a child, grinning inanely. Piper's mouth draws into a tight line. "You'll have to buy me a new one if you stretch it!" She snaps finally and stomps back up stairs. "Aw~!" Hunter complains, "Pipes, come on, I was just playing!" He follows her up the stairs, pulling the cardigan off his arms as he goes. He notices the sleeves are now quite wide, but he's certain the garment will turn back to its original shape once it's been washed again. He hears Piper's door close loudly, and the lock turn. "Piper!" He knocks on the door and turns the handle. Unsurprisingly it doesn't open and he smacks his forehead against the wood. "Kitten, I was just having a joke. I've taken the cardigan off now!" No response. Caesarmon and Skollmon have climbed the stairs and are watching from the landing. All previous light heartedness has gone from the atmosphere, and Hunter actually feels bad that he's upset Piper over something so silly as a piece of clothing. "I'm sorry Kitten," he calls through the door and goes silent waiting for a reply. Caesarmon sits on his hind legs and places his paws against the door. "Piper, it's me. Can I come in?" She doesn't even reply to her Digimon's voice, and Caesarmon takes offence to that, he gives Hunter a dirty look as he returns to all four paws. "I think you really made her mad." Skollmon says sitting on his haunches beside his partner. "I mean, really mad. Didn't the disaster that was Selina teach you anything?" "Selina?" Caesarmon repeats. Hunter grimaces, "ex-girlfriend." He says with his teeth tightly together. "She was very picky about her clothes and would freak if I so much as touched anything, whether she was wearing it or not. I didn't think Piper would be so... protective." "She's not, usually." Caesarmon comments from the floor. "You obviously just pushed it too far." Hunter considers that for a moment, he thought they were both having fun, enjoying themselves, having a bit of a laugh. He wasn't really going to keep her cardigan on for any length of time, just long enough to rile her up and get a reaction. He doesn't mind her wearing his clothes. Not at all. In fact he rather quite likes how his clothes look when draped over Piper's smaller frame. His t-shirts especially, now she has taken to wearing them as sleep wear when at his apartment, how they often fall off one shoulder and the fabric just skims her mid-thigh. Piper seemingly oblivious to just how attractive the vision of her traipsing around his apartment in his clothes is. Though the blonde is generally oblivious to anything about herself that Hunter considers even slightly attractive. Skollmon sits up straighter suddenly, Hunter can hear movement coming from the other side of the door and straightens. Caesarmon is alert wanting to get into the room first in the effort to obviously comfort his tamer. Piper opens the door slowly, and Hunter's jaw slackens a little. He could not have imagined seeing Piper like this. In retaliation to him wearing her cardigan, she has donned a pair on his jeans that he's left at the house in case he stays over, his high top trainers stick out from underneath the baggy denim which Piper is struggling to hold up. She's still wearing the hooded shirt, and has even put on a necklace to complete the look, in place of Hunter's dog tags. "You look..." Hunter is at a loss for words – an unusual feeling – and doesn't know whether to laugh or not. His voice escapes him in the form of an incoherent bleat, and Piper grins. Obviously her previous irritation was nothing more than a ruse. Hunter feels somewhat relieved knowing that. "Yeah. I can wear your clothes too." Piper says, trying her best to sound gruff, which Hunter can only assume is meant to be an impression of him. Skollmon lets out a bark laughter. Caesarmon is less entertained, "you look so stupid." Were Caesarmon not Piper's partner, Hunter would have smacked him around the ear. Instead he shoves the otter lightly and grins at Piper. "You having trouble with those?" He indicates to the jeans. Despite having a belt in them and the belt done up, the jeans are hanging halfway around Piper's hips and he can see the lace on her underwear. "A little." Hunter quirks an eyebrow, "need some help?" "Keeping them up?" Hunter shakes his head, his mouth slipping into an enthusiastic grin, "taking them off."
